Becoming One....

One-flesh: Inseparable, together forever, both a physical and a spiritual concept; two human beings, biblically, a male and a female, joined together.

There's something in marriage that I'm experiencing that I've not ever experienced in any other relationship I've had (and rightfully so) - "oneness". This oneness is so freeing in every area of my life....especially as outlined in Song of Solomon chapters 4 - 6 (I'm trying not to be too explicit here, but also give you just enough so you know where I'm going with this 'marriage talk'). I am SO FREE....finally!!! This 13.5yr journey has been filled with MUCH, but the one thing that's remained constant is this 'freedom'. My heart has never felt so at ease, at peace, safe, and secure in this way....ever. Oh yeah, I'm 'free'!!

How free are you in your marriage in this area? I know, you've been told it's taboo and too raunchy to talk about it this openly, but who said that? Probably someone that didn't have a thing to do with the invention and institution of marriage? Figures! Ahahaha

Marriage talks with my husband are thhheeeee best. He's very expressive with his words when he needs to be. :) He's expressive like this sometimes:

Your lips are like a strand of scarlet,

And your mouth is lovely.

Your temples behind your veil

Are like a piece of pomegranate.

Your neck is like the tower of David,

Built for an armory,

On which hang a thousand [b]bucklers,

All shields of mighty men.

Your two breasts are like two fawns,

Twins of a gazelle,

Which feed among the lilies.

Y'all see how fresh Solomon was? Mmhhhmmm, y'all see it! LOL This is why I don't find it taboo to talk about it - not at all. But if you're not feeling 'this free' in this area of your marriage what's stopping you? That thing that's holding you back needs to be talked about - in-depth - completely naked and unashamed. That's how this ministry is supposed to be. If something is standing in the way of that, address that and get down to some real, deep intimacy so you can be 'as one and free'!!
