Choose for You!

What if everything you ever dreamed of, hoped for, prayed for, waited for....came packaged differently than what you envisioned? What would you do? How would you respond to it? Would you go back to the drawing board and keep dreaming, hoping, praying, and waiting for 'another' dream to come true although the first dream had already shown up in the flesh? Packaging matters, but really only when we're dealing with food and shipped items. Go with me here....

My husband showed up with everything I prayed for and so much more; however, he was packaged completely differently than what I was used to. He didn't only come packaged differently than what I was used to, but also to the people that were in my life. Their opinion mattered to me so we all began collecting data from the door. I know that sounds a little 'investigative'. It was! LOL I had enough information to know that he was just fine where the law was concerned. No priors, nothing to be concerned with. And I do mean nothing! Impressive! I say that because I probably have a speeding ticket or two floating around in a database or two, but let's move on......

He didn't only come packaged differently than what I was used to, but also to the people that were in my life. Their opinion mattered to me so we all began collecting data from the door. I know that sounds a little investigative. It was! LOL Let's just say he was legit! No priors, no worries and that's what we like to see! Ahahaha

He was different though and that was seen at the on-set. Physically, he's probably the shortest man I ever dated. That right there is a lot for me because in my mind - 'tall' meant a level of 'safety' that I felt I needed. The fact that he was from the south and I was from the north. Never saw that coming either. Swag? Welp, nope! :) At least, not the type of swag I was used to, but it could work. And we soon found out that it would work.

But what happens if we have people in our lives who are more concerned with the 'outside' packaging than the 'substance' that's on the inside and they feel this packaging just doesn't fit our life the way they think it should? What do we do? In some cases, we lose out. We succumb to the pressure of other people's opinions and ideals for our lives and we lose out on something we waited and prayed for, for so long. *It was God's answer*. In other cases, we forge head-on right in it and run the risk of losing those who've been with us our whole lives. *Tough* The thing to remember is what we've put before God and the way He's answered! Does God want to come in and destroy friendships and family ties? No, not intentionally. Does He know and understand that at times, it will happen anyway? Yes!

We want to always be in a position where we're willing to forsake all and lose all IF it pleases God's heart to do so. If making a decision is in direct obedience to God, but others don't agree - GO WITH GOD! Stand your ground! Trust that He knows best! Either the support will come or it won't, but at least you'll have God...and you'll have the one whose hands your heart is truly and completely safe in. *Trust that*
